Seems like time got away from me a bit. I’ll try to do better in the future.
A lot has been happening…
I’ve started recording new work, I’ve opened up a new office/lesson studio (more about that later) and I’m beginning to write for my soon to be revealed new endeavor (Don’t worry, I’ll spill the beans soon enough).
In addition, I’ve been trying to fish with my father as much as possible, keep up both my chops and my relationships and prepare for the little baby boy who is scheduled to appear in late August. I’ve never been so eager to meet anyone-not even Mark Murphy!
Now, about that lesson studio…
It is in Middlesex, VT in the Red Hen Bakery building, sandwiched between the Bakery and Nutty Steph’s Chocolate Shop. Both of these places make quality food and necessitate my being tied to a mast by rugged Greek sailors during business hours (Oh, don’t…it’s a reference to Ulysses…the sirens?…remember?).
Anyway, I’ve been working hard to make the office feel comfortable and welcoming and I think that I have succeeded. I have begun teaching my students there and look forward to adding a few more minds eager to learn the art of practicing, performing and composing music. Hey! You might be one of those people. If you are, feel free to contact me. I’d love to hear from you.
Well, that’s it for now. Summer is here so stay up late, get outside and don’t forget to practice.
Be well,
Eric
